Do you tend to get the winter blues and need some ideas to get out of a funk? Although February is the shortest month of the year, it can feel like the longest to those of us that long for 80 degrees and palm trees.

So, if you need some ideas to help you make it through the last stretch of winter and have a fabulous February, then this list is for you!

  1. Try a creative photo challenge: Whether you are a photographer or not, a photo challenge is a fun way to have a fabulous February! If you love wildlife, then check out my post “Try a Wildlife Photography Challenge” for a great way to snap shots of your local critters and feathered-friends.

  2. Bundle up and have a bonfire: Have a romantic evening or grab some friends and enjoy the sizzling fire on a crisp evening.

  3. Make homemade soap: One of the best things about cold February days is hot homemade soup. Try out a new recipe for one of your favorite soups!

  4. Play vintage video games: Break out that old Super Nintendo or Playstation and have a fun-filled evening of gaming.

  5. Have a karaoke night: Who said you have to head to the bar to sing out your favorite 80’s ballads? Get together with some buddies and sing the night away.

  6. Start a new hobby: Try painting, learning an instrument, or rollerblading. Hobbies can be an excellent way to embrace your creativity and even help you destress.

  8. Grab a cup of coffee with an old friend: Having a cup of joe with a good friend is a great way to enjoy the day.

  9. Start a total well-being plan: A total well-being plan is where you focus on improving everything from your mental to physical health. Which is why starting a total well-being plan is one of the best way to have a fabulous February!

  10. Write someone a letter: Remember the good ole’ days when people wrote each other letters because they were thinking about them? During the month of February, make it a goal to write a note to someone you love.

  11. Enjoy an at-home spa day: Take a day and pamper yourself to a spa treatment at home. Grab this kit from Amazon to really enjoy yourself.

  12. Treat yourself to something you love: It’s important to treat yourself once in a while, so go ahead and do something special for yourself. Whether it’s splurging on your favorite latte, or taking a day trip somewhere.

  13. Read a novel: If you love to read but don’t take much time for it, make it a goal to read a novel during the month of February.

  14. Bake your favorite dessert: Speaking of treating yourself, why not bake your favorite dessert. What’s your pleasure? Cherry pie, chocolate cake, a Vanilla Crème Brûlée? Whatever flavor you savor, let yourself indulge in something delicious.

  15. Eat vegetarian for the entire month: There are some pretty delicious vegetarian recipes out there, so why not add some healthy dishes to your menu this month?

  16. Start a new skincare routine: Get glowing skin with a new skincare routine. You can even start a minimal routine to get into the habit of it.

  17. Try a new make-up look for every day of the month: Step out of your comfort zone and try a different make-up look every day to have a fabulous February look! There is tons of inspiration on YouTube and Pinterest.

  24. Create your spring bucket list: Spring is just around the corner, so start listing all of those fun things you want to do this spring!

  25. Plan a pet day: Okay every day is pet day, but you could plan a super special pet day! Go to the park, or buy them a gift box from Chewy.

  26. Watch the sunrise: This is one of my favorite things to do when I actually do it. Pick a day to have a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise— or try to do it the whole month of February!

  27. Learn latte art: You know those adorable designs they make on your latte? You can learn how to do it yourself at home. Grab this super cool latte art kit and create a cool-looking cup of coffee!

  28. Appreciate the good times: Put on some music, look through pictures, keepsakes, and reminiscence.
