I am a true coffee lover—like seriously…it’s my cup of happiness in the mornings. So, don’t think I’m ever saying to give up this delicious nectar altogether. However, how many times a week do you buy a coffee or latte? If it’s a few times a week, you may be surprised at just how much money this savings challenge will help you save!

(Hint: it can add up to over $1,400 a year!) So, let’s dive into how much you are truly spending and how to do this fun money-savings challenge. Plus, grab the free “Save A Latte” Savings Challenge Printable!

The True Price Of Your Every Day Latte

You may be thinking it’s just a few bucks; what’s the big deal? But it’s the sneaky spending that really adds up and busts your budget.

The average latte costs about $4.16, so if you buy a latte or coffee five days a week, that’s $20.80 a week, which adds up to $1081.60 a year!

WHOA! A THOUSAND DOLLARS IN LATTES!  Not sure about you, but I think I’d rather treat myself to a relaxing vacation instead!

If you need even more motivation, multiply that amount by five years...that’s $5,408. That’s money for a down payment on a house or maybe a car. You get the point.

Treat Yourself To Delicious Coffee At Home

Before we cover how to do the “Save a Latte” savings challenge, let’s talk about how you can treat yourself to yummy coffee at home and still save!

Since I am addicted to…I mean love coffee, I had to find a way to still enjoy my cup of happiness without spending so much.

That’s when I found Java Momma Coffee, and oh my goodness, is it fabulous! If you love trying different flavors and roasts, then you should definitely check them out.

Some of their flavors are Sticky bun, Sea salt caramel mocha, and Death by chocolate.

This coffee runs $7.99-$11.19 (plus shipping) for a ½ pound bag. However, even with the cost of shipping, when you do the math, it’s only $1.40 a cup, which is a ¼ of what you’re spending at the coffee shops.

You can also invest in a latte art kit and a frother to give your java some pizazz! I got a milk frother from Amazon and it’s one of the best things I ever bought.

I’m thinking of taking some of my saved money and making my very own coffee bar. Stay posted for that one.
