There has been a buzz about Martha Stewart's New Gardening Handbook since its announcement last month, and I am here to tell you that this book lives up to the hype. I was fortunate enough to receive a free copy of this book from Harper Collins Publishing to review it, and it’s even better than I expected. This is Martha’s 101st book, and its release is just in time for gardening season.

Topics Inside the Martha Stewart’s Gardening Handbook

This book can be a go-to guide for anyone from beginners to skilled gardeners. It contains information for designing, planting, and growing all sorts of plants, flowers, and trees. You will learn anything from figuring out your USDA Gardening Zone to how to make your own compost.

What I love most about this book is there are guides for specialty gardens and edible landscaping, such as:

  • White Garden: This type of garden features white flower blooming plants that “present a vast spectrum of pale tones.” It also looks whimsical at night!

  • Cottage Garden: This is perfect for the gardener looking for a gorgeous, wild, and low-maintenance garden.

  • Habitat Garden: Learn how to create a garden that will help support local wildlife and enhance biodiversity.

  • Backyard Berry Patch: Grow delicious varieties of berries right in your own backyard with this guide.

You will also learn how to save seeds, propagate your plants, and tips for spotting common diseases. There are also tips for flower arranging, and raising backyard chickens.

It’s also adorned with pictures of beautiful plants, trees, and flowers. Needless to say, this book has a wealth of information that will help you plan, design, and grow a gorgeous garden you love.

You can purchase Martha Stewart’s Gardening Handbook directly from Harper Collins Publishing or online sites such as Amazon.
